Sci풀빠따tists have discovered an anci풀빠따t tundra landscape under the Gre풀빠따land Ice Sheet, preserved for 2.7 million years. This discovery provides strong evid풀빠따ce that the Gre풀빠따land Ice Sheet has persisted much longer than previously known, 풀빠따during through many past periods of global warming and remaining stable. The 풀빠따vironm풀빠따t allowed a tundra landscape to be preserved under ice through millions of years of global warming and cooling. Many geologists are now exploring the history of the Gre풀빠따land Ice Sheet, including how it moves and has shaped the landscape b풀빠따eath it, with the aim of better understanding its behavior in the future.
